    Google Analytics Dashboards

    You’ve got Google Analytics running on your site. Maybe you’ve even logged in once or twice to see if you can make sense of the information Google is collecting for you. But, chances are you aren’t doing anything will all this yummy data that is just waiting to make your business better.

    It can be intimidating to slog through the metric sh*t ton of information that Google Analytics is trying to give you. That’s why Dashboards are instrumental in being able to actually make heads or tails (or why aren’t people buying) from the data.

    Dashboards allow you to pull together just the stuff you want to see. In fact, you can create dashboards for big-picture metrics as well as for campaigns and other short-term activities and goals. Are you doing a webinar series this month? (I know someone that is.) You might create a dashboard that looks at particular page visits and conversion information for that specific activity.

    To really understand if your efforts are successful, you need to have goals and be measuring your success. Google Analytics is a fantastic tool to help you do that. You just have to invest a little time in setting up what you want to see.

    To create a Dashboard, log into your Analytics account and then click Dashboards. Underneath Dashboards, click “+ New Dashboard.”

    Just click “+ New Dashboard” to get started

    You’ll then have the option to create your own dashboard from scratch, or import one from the Analytics Gallery.
